HAND TUFTED
Hand-tufted carpets are a celebration of artistry and efficiency. Using a tufting gun, skilled artisans loop and cut fine yarn into a canvas stretched on a frame, bringing intricate designs to life with precision. This method allows for bold, custom patterns, rich textures, and a luxurious underfoot feel—perfect for hospitality, commercial, and high-end residential settings. The result is a beautifully durable, design-forward carpet that balances artistry with efficiency.
HAND LOOM
Our hand-loomed carpets and rugs are made using traditional looms constructed from wood. Weaving is a slow and considered process that celebrates the art of traditional weaving techniques crafted by skilled artisans, each piece reflects the human touch with subtle shifts in tone, texture, colour that makes every carpet truly unique. Due to the hand made process slight imperfections and variations in colour, texture, design, and weight are a natural part of the process and hence expected. Large orders that require single dye lots are limited to the capacity of the die houses across all of our Indian made products hence multiple dye lots are sometimes created.
Whether used in residential projects or large-scale commercial spaces, these carpets bring a refined, organic quality that’s hard to replicate. There quiet elegance, combined with their versatility, makes them a favourite among designers looking to create interiors with unique texture, soul, and subtle sophistication.
HAND KNOTTED
The epitome of craftsmanship, our hand-knotted carpets are woven entirely by hand, knot by knot, using centuries-old techniques. Each rug is a labor of patience and precision, often taking months to complete. Crafted from the finest wools and silks, the intricate detailing and exquisite textures of hand-knotted carpets make them heirloom-worthy pieces, designed to stand the test of time.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Due to the handcrafted nature of RC+D’s hand-tufted, hand-loomed, and hand-knotted carpets, variations in texture, pattern, colour, and overall appearance are inherent and should be expected. These variations are a result of traditional hand-making techniques, including differences in fibre dye absorption, hand-guided tufting or weaving tension, and finishing processes such as trimming and washing. As a result, no two carpets will be identical, and slight irregularities in pile height, density, or colour shading may occur. Such differences are not considered defects but rather characteristics that contribute to the uniqueness and authenticity of each piece. By purchasing an RC+D handmade carpet, the client acknowledges and accepts these natural variations as an essential aspect of artisanal craftsmanship.
